On the 28th and 29th of September the Universities of the Netherlands will host the UNLimited Festival. CUCo will not only be visiting this wonderful Festival but we will also be hosting a session on the 28th of September.

Our session: Breaking barriers, building bridges, will focus on recognition and rewards for interdisciplinary research in Dutch academia.

Although the necessity of interdisciplinary research is widely recognized, in practice it often proves difficult for researchers to find the career space to do interdisciplinary research. In this session we will look at ways in which the Dutch academia might better recognise this work. We want to exchange ideas, share our insights and try to find answers to the questions: What institutional changes are necessary? And how can I take this along in my role in the Dutch academic landscape?
